The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has directed the CCI to investigate Walmart-owned Flipkart for alleged unfair business practices through misuse of its dominant position. That overturned a 2018 ruling by the Competition Commission. The All India Online Vendors Association (AIOVA) had approached the CCI in May 2018, alleging abuse of market dominance by ecommerce marketplace Flipkart Internet Pvt Ltd and Flipkart India Pvt Ltd, which is engaged in the wholesale trading and distribution of books, mobiles, computers and related accessories.
