It was founded in 2011 by the First Chairman of the Competition Commission of India, Dhanendra Kumar, who had earlier been India’s Executive Director at the World Bank, after a 35 year long career in the Government, at International level, Centre and State. He brings his unique experience of starting enforcement work in CCI and working at top levels with Govt in various Ministries, of Telecom, Power, Transport, Defence and in State, where he was closely associated with public policies and their execution.
