In an unstarred question in Lok Sabha, MoS Corporate Affairs Harsh Malhotra responded to a question concerning digital competition law. He replied that the ongoing examination of the Digital Competition Bill will not strain the case workflow or existing resources of CCI. No additional funding is required to ensure efficient functioning of CCI during the review process. He also highlighted that CCI’s cadre review is a routine administrative exercise and amendments to recruitment rules are open for public consultation.
