Ministry of Corporate Affairs has notified on 20th February, 2024 th enforcement of leniency plus provisions under the amended Competition Act . Leniency Plus provision allows a leniency applicant in an existing cartel to share information about another cartel. This will incentivize parties as they would be eligible to receive penalty reductions upto 30% in the first cartel.
