The Digital India Bill will be introduced by the next government, according to Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Mr. Rajeev Chandrasekhar. The bill requires extensive consultation and is unlikely to be legislated before the upcoming elections. The bill aims to replace the Information Technology Act, 2000 and regulate digital markets, cyberspace and AI.
