CCI’ chief Ravneet Kaur recently stated that in a bid to understand the interplay between traditional market and evolving digital markets, CCI focus is on adopting a proactive regulatory approach that addresses the emerging challenges in technology driven sectors and also striking a balance between effective oversight and market friendly regime. The Commission is set to enhance its capabilities through collaborations, use of technology and staffing domain experts in areas like AI, data analytics and digital markets. The regulator is also conducting two market studies to study competition issues in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Renewable Energy Space across BRICS countries.
