CCI has released a Market Study Report on Dynamics of Competition in the Mining Sector in India with a Focus on Iron Ore. The study analysed India's mining sector, especially iron ores from competition law perspective. It recommended keeping a check on differential pricing of iron ore; to discourage exports of iron ore; issues of pricing of iron ore from captive mines, etc. It also suggested promotion of sustainable mining.
