The CCI has ordered the DG to conduct investigations into allegations that the country’s biggest carmaker Maruti Suzuki controls discounts its dealers offer, amounting to resale price maintenance. According to an order on CCI website, a detailed probe was needed to assess the methods used by Maruti as the allegations showed it was a fit case for investigation in respect of the alleged resale price maintenance.
