CCI issued an order against eight firms which were found to have indulged in anti-competitive agreements. The case was initiated on the basis of a reference filed on behalf of the Eastern Railway. These firms have indulged in bid-rigging and cartelization in the supply of Axle Bearings. CCI refrained from imposing any monetary penalty considering the firms were MSMEs and were affected financially in the wake of COVID-19.
