The CCI by way of an amendment has hiked the merger filing fees. The Amendment, effective from 30 October 2019, has enhanced the filing fee which is payable along with the merger notification to the CCI for a pre-merger approval. The filing fee to be remitted for Form-I filing has been increased from Rs 15 lakh to Rs 20 lakh and the same for Form-II filing has been increased from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 65 lakh.
