CCI levied Rs 40 lakh penalty on Goldman Sachs (India) Alternative Investment Management Pvt Ltd (GS AIMPL), investment management arm of Goldman Sachs AIF. This penalty was levied on failure of notification of a deal executed four years ago. Under the deal, Goldman Sachs AIF Scheme-1 (GS AIF) had acquired optionally convertible debentures of Biocon Biologics.
