CCI approves acquisition of 9.09% shares in Escorts Ltd by Kubota Corporation of Japan. Kubota is a comprehensive agriculture products manufacturer and involved in various machinery like tractors, combine harvesters and rice transplanters. The JV will help boost agricultural production in India.

On completion of capital reduction process by Escorts, Kubota will hold 10% shareholding in Escorts and Escorts will acquire 40% shareholding in Kubota.
