CCI has approved Manipal Group's acquisition of a stake in Aakash Educational Services from its founder, J.C. Chaudhry. Led by Ranjan Pai, Manipal Group now holds a 40% stake after investing approximately $300 million, primarily to settle Aakash’s debts to BYJU’s, which faces insolvency. This strategic move strengthens Manipal’s presence in India’s education sector.
