In a first, under the newly introduced “Green Channel” route, CCI has approved the acquisition of Essel Mutual Fund by BACQ, owned by former Flipkart Co-founder Sachin Bansal. The “Green Channel” route was introduced on the recommendation of CLRC earlier this year for reducing the time and cost of mergers and acquisitions within a certain threshold.
