Ministry of Commerce& Industry is likely to create an action-oriented plan which will boost services sector contribution to USD 3 trn, manufacturing to USD 1 trn and Agriculture to USD 1 trn, bolstering India’s march of becoming USD 5 trn economy before 2025. 

Also, a corpus of USD 1 bn is created to boost 12 champion sectors- Information Technology & Information Technology enabled Services (IT &ITeS), Tourism and Hospitality Services, Medical Value Travel, Transport and Logistics Services, and others for promoting their development, and realizing their potential.

This will enhance competitiveness of service sectors through implementation of focused and monitored Action Plans, promoting GDP growth and exports to global markets, and creating more jobs.
