Union Budget proposes regulatory reforms and tax relief for middle class

Union Budget, presented by the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman brings major tax relief for middle class and salaried employees; no tax will be levied up to income upto Rs 12 lakh annually. The Budget outlines four key engines of growth - agriculture, MSMEs, investment and exports. This year's capital expenditure is at Rs 10.18 lakh crore with focus on National Manufacturing mission, enhancing financing for farmers and MSMEs, and promoting innovation. A High Level Committee on Regulatory Reforms will also be set up.
