On his France visit, PM Modi was bestowed the Grand Cross of the Legion, France’s highest award by President Emmanuel Macron. The PM also witnessed the parade to mark Bastille Day as the Guest of Honour. He signed important deals with France which include three submarines for the Indian Navy; development of jet and helicopter engines; and unveiled plans to roll out the Unified Payment Interface (UPI) system in Europe.
