While in the US, PM Modi signed a deal with US President Biden for the purchase of General Atomics MQ-9 "Reaper" armed drones. The government will start the formal acquisition process of 31 such drones in July. This deal not only strengthens India-US strategic and defense partnership but also bolsters India’s national security and surveillance capabilities.
