Kristalina Georgieva appointed as the new IMF chief

Famous Bulgarian economist Kristalina Georgieva has been elected as the Managing Director at the International Monetary Fund becoming the first leader from an emerging market. The former World Bank Chief Executive starts her five-year term as MD October 1 and will be replacing Christine Lagarde. Her election has been hailed by the World Leaders and WB President David Malfass who has paid her glowing tributes.
