Last weekend in Milan, Prada showcased a new line of 'toe ring sandals' at its Spring-Summer 2026 Men's Collection. It wasn't until observers pointed out that the footwear was indistinguishable from Kolhapuri chappals that Prada acknowledged on Saturday that it was, indeed, 'inspired by traditional Indian handcrafted footwear, with a centuries-old heritage'.
